However, if you unplug your GoPro from the Mac, power it on, THEN plug it in to your Mac, it'll display the universal USB logo on the front screen of the GoPro and your Mac will mount it; allowing you to import into Photos, iMovie or Image Capture, without issue. Connect GoPro SD Card with Computer. You can use a USB cable to connect your GoPro camera with the computer directly or remove the SD card from GoPro camera and insert it to the SD card slot on Mac directly. With the GoPro app, your latest footage moves to your phone and automatically transforms into a QuikStory—an awesome video with effects and music.

Im not sure why all the negative reviews on this app - unless theres been a substantial change recently - here's why:I recently purchased a hero 4 silver for an extended trip to South Africa documentary, roller derby coaching/training/ref reviewing, and cycling videos. Upon seeing that there was a mobile app, I was really excited about the options that opened - but the reviews, ugh.I have installed this app on 3 windows devices: A 1020 on 8.1 denim (for South Africa), a 1520, also 8.1 denim (for derby & cycling), and another 1520 that is running a beta of Windows 10 for mobile. All 3 devices installed, connected, connected and handled all images and remote functions - as advertised - FLAWLESSLY!!!So id like to let folks out there know that, unless I'm just **** lucky, this app works phenomenally well, and is a must have for the gopro owner. Sure, it looks like there were obviously issues with it in the past, but currently, this is working very well. NICE JOB GOPRO!!!

@wartechie - The easiest way to download your content is to use Quik for Desktop - https://shop.gopro.com/softwareandapp/quik-%7C-desktop/Quik-Desktop.html. Cool software programs. It will recognize when your camera is connected or SD card is inserted and download your content to your computer.
@agilerange51255 - How are you connection to your laptop - cable or SD card adapter? What types of errors are you getting within Quik for Desktop?
Thanks,
Jeff

Yep I'm having the same issue I just want to plug in, turn on the GoPro and access the files to pull like in the past. Run ios apps on mac. Now I have to pull the chip and throw it into my reader to do what used to be easy. I do not want to pull in the footage from another program I just want to access the drive. Any good answers out there I know my operating system hasn't been updated in a while. The boss won't let me do it.

@shootermagavin - Other than pulling the files directly from the SD card, you'll need to use Quik for Desktop to import directly from the camera.

Download Gopro App For Mac
Office home and student 2013 product key generator. I'm having same issue. Installed Quik But nothing happens. I rebooted after install also and nothing. Quik does not detect the camera. To be clear I'm using the Hero 5 session.
